Yuuta Tomooka
Founder,
The iLiteracy Project
Yuuta Tomooka is a 18 year old high school student based in Fukuoka, Japan.
Growing up, he was interested in using a computer because when I was three, my father gave me an old computer including Windows 98.
During high school, he founded iLiteracy, a project to develop online Internet literacy learning tools for elementary and middle school students in Japan. Following GIGA School, the Japanese government's policy of providing students with one computer per student, elementary and middle school students will learn proper Internet literacy to prevent disinformation and harm from the Internet. Furthermore, iLiteracy is committed to developing information technology and solving social problems related to the Internet by providing high-quality educational tools for Internet literacy that foster highly literate Internet users. The first outcome for iLiteracy is an education-based game expected to launch in late 2022.
In the future, he wishes to study computer science and entrepreneurship at university in order to build a more convenient and affluent society.
