Hoi Ching Summer Lam
Founder and President,
Get In the Game
Hoi Ching Summer Lam is from Hong Kong and currently goes to a boarding school in the States. She is an advocate advancing the intersectionality of mental health and sustainable cities through an interdisciplinary approach integrating technology, real estate, financial services, hospitality, and health and well-being.
To take advantage of her experience in elite-level sports, she founded Get in the Game, a mental health initiative to advocate for high school athletes, and integrates the areas of stigma, resources, and education. The project's mission is to encourage people, reassuring them that there is always someone who will support them on their journey towards healthier well-being.
With the initiative’s ELITE framework, personal experiences, and a 10-step plan on the website, she greatly hopes to advocate and spur systematic and collective action for everyone to get in their games.
In the future, Get in the Game aims to ACE its game by advocating and keeping the impact of the initiative going in her current school even after she has graduated. Moreover, collaborating with schools in different locations, such as the United Kingdom and Hong Kong, to spread Get In the Game’s voice. Last but not least, educating her intergenerational audience with resources on her website, workshops, and a special feature: an olympian’s aspect.
At university, Summer aims to pursue hospitality management or psychology, hoping to hop on a psychology research project with a professor, find a part-time or internship opportunity in a service or sports facility to create another wave of impact to inspire future generations.
